"The aim of the Breeders Directory is to provide a service which is of value both to breeders and members of the public seeking to buy a rabbit. As we clearly cannot visit all breeders and their facilities, we have established the following Breeders Charter. We rely on breeders using the Charter to comply in all respects"

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU COMPLY WITH ALL THE REQUIREMENTS BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION.

YOU WILL ONLY BE REJECTED IF YOU DON'T

1. I have been a Member of the BRC for more than TWO consecutive years.

2. I am over 16 years of age

3. I am the breeder or owner of the rabbit(s)

4. I breed for sale from no more than 4 breeds of rabbit

5. I am satisfied that all rabbits for sale are in good health, showing no signs of infestation by fleas, lice or mites and have not been knowingly exposed to any contagious disease.

6. All rabbits show no signs of contradiction to the accepted breed standard and any imperfections will be pointed out to the purchaser

7. Should the rabbit have a ring, I will explain it's significance to the purchaser and tell them how to check the ring.

8. I will give the purchaser information on feeding their rabbit and explain that the rabbit should always have access to fresh water

9. If I am unable to satisfy the requirements of a prospective buyer, I will always refer them back to The Breeders Directory and NOT pass them on to another breeder.

10. I will only sell stock to children under 16 if accompanied by a written letter of authority from parents.

11. No more than FOUR breeds may be advertised by a single owner
