hi thanks for that i no it is a postal entry but i just wanted to no if the entry fee is the price for the membership as i can not see any other entry fees on there, for example membership fee for individual is £2.50 i just wanted to no if that is the entry fee price. thanks becky

The entry fee is the cost of enterring your rabbit(s). The £2.50 is if you wish to be a Member of the Southern Championship Show Society, it is not an entrance fee into the hall. |

hi i have two rabbits but only one i'd like to show, there mum was big and fawn and dad quite small white and black. my rabbit though is a very nice grey with a touch of white all most weaved in. i have no idea what breed he is, maybe just somekinda mix. i was wondering if you could tell me if he sounds ok to show and maybe what offical color and breed he is. thanks mary

As you describe the parents, they do sound different breeds so therefore the rabbit is a crossbreed. These do not have a breed standard to show against, but can be shown in the pet section at shows. |

I have a Buck- Mini Rex- He is fawn in colour. Please can you advise me if he is of a standard i can show and also how do i measure what size ring he will require? Many thanks

I cant advise on the quality of your rabbit without actually seeing/holding it. The ring sizes vary from breed to breed, but are allocated by their respective breed club. ALL mini rex MUST use a B ring. |

hi can you tell me, when putting a brc ring on a rabbits leg is there any particular leg it should go on? and also is it right that rabbits born this year 06 are not allowed to be shown until at least 12 weeks old and not before june thanks
22 March 2006 - south west england
Webmaster comments
There is no set leg to which you place the ring, as long as it is one of the hind legs. What you state about the 12 week rule is correct. Obviously, an 06 ring on a rabbit shown in February, can be no more than 8 weeks old as 06 rings are not given out till January 1st, hence the March 31st rule. |
