I am looking to find a local rabbit club. Although i have kept pet rabbits for 13 years, I would like to obtain a show quality french lop to get into showing as a hobby. What is the best way to go about all this? thanks for any help!

Webmaster comments   If you go to the main BRC website, and select the link LOCAL under the CLUBS heading, it will show you clubs in your Area. Contact that secretary and I'm sure they will be able to guide you to a breeder.

Hi
Firstly any1 looking for lionheads, netherland dwarfs and mini lops please leave a message in this guestbook(I am in Wrexham, north Wales)! My question is that I have a lionhead doe who has had 4 beautiful kits and they are now 5 weeks old. 1 of them is long haired and has a nice mane. The others are short haired but dont seem to have a mane just a little rim that is just a tiny little bit longer than the rest of their body hair. Will their mane develop soon or are they maneless? Could I still sell these babies at the normal price if they are maneless or would I have to drop the price at all? Also would they still be suitable for breeding or not?

Webmaster comments   You can hold them now, but don't overdo it so causing stress to either baby or mother. Once they are around 4-5 weeks old, then start getting them accustomed to being held before mother is removed around 8 weeks old.

Webmaster comments   When you say breed chart..do you mean pedigree chart? If so, they can be purchased from Fur & Feather

 Hi Just a question, if I wish to breed blue's and also chocolates Do I need 2 different bucks.?
10 April 2006 - england.

Webmaster comments   To breed blues and chocs it is best to have 2 seperate lines of each colour. Breeding a blue to a choc you will get Lilacs, unless the choc carries blue and the blue carries choc, when you would get both colours. If both are bred true..you will get blacks. If you only want two colours (Blue & Choc), instead of the possibility of four (Blue, Choc, Lilac & Black), it is best to keep each colour seperate.

Webmaster comments   If you go here:
http://www.thebrc.org/area4b.htm
Local club secretaries are listed. You do not need a ring to show in pet classes.
